Phyllis Helbraun / RCC Foundation Early Childhood Scholarship

Established in memory of Phyllis Helbraun, a lifelong champion of issues affecting women, children and families. Mrs. Helbraun was instrumental in the creation of the Campus Fun & Learn Child Development Center at RCC.

Criteria: Must be a continuing student enrolling in the Fall semester in the early childhood education program. Must include a personal essay that focuses on why the applicant wishes to teach young children. Must work in a Rockland County program serving children birth to 12 years of age. Must participate in an advisement session with the Coordinator of the Teacher Education program. Must have submitted a FAFSA and demonstrated financial need.
